The Mercedes Benz 250SL was produced from December 1966 to January 1968. The short production run makes it the rarest of the "W113" series SLs.
The 250SL continues the SL tradition with a smooth, solid ride, agile handling and a comfortable interior. Compared to the 230SL, the 250 provides improved agility with 4-wheel disc brakes and a new 2.5 liter engine. Horsepower is the same as the 230 at 148, but torque is up to 159 lb-ft (from 145). According to WIKI, The wider power band of the 250 SL resulted in noticeably improved performance, as the 230 SL engines rarely produced more than 143 PS in practice.
This 1967 model includes the classic "chrome" interior as opposed to the "safety" interior that was introduced for the 1968 model year.
This 1967 SL looks great with Beige paint over a dark Grey interior. It is in fantastic condition, and is a pure joy to drive - smooth and solid, just like an SL is supposed to be. We're very impressed, and we're sure the next owner will be as well.
